Why Hating Your Body is Ruining Your Progress

The cellulite on my legs stopped me from wearing shorts in the summer until this year. It took me 30 years to get comfortable with my body.

What changed?

It sunk in - the words I say to clients everyday

The body you’re in today - this is your goal body - it’s the same body

My legs might have cellulite, but they’re strong and the driving force behind everything that brings me joy in life

My best leg day? Woulda been tough without these drumsticks
Hiking up to this incredible hut? Wouldn’t be possible without my thick thighs

My body has been heavier, lighter, leaner and fluffier
But she continued to carry me through every chapter

My toughest seasons
My miscarriages
My divorce
The days it was all I could do to get out of bed - let alone take care of my body with enough sleep, water and food
My body carried me through

Our bodies never let us down - having goals of wanting to improve our strength or aesthetic isn’t a bad thing. In fact that’s a GOOD thing - goals are so important.

But we can’t hate ourselves into our goals - we have to celebrate our progress, appreciate our bodies and work with purpose in mind.

Sending you love in my first summer with A LEG TAN 🤣
